The Donor Recognition Wall at St. Mary’s Hospital was commissioned by the Friends of St. Mary's as a formal tribute to the many friends whose support has aided in the development of the hospital.

The wall, located north of the visitors' entrance of the hospital, was unveiled in late May 1989 during a series of celebrations honoring past and present donors.

For cumulative gifts of $500 or more, a copper plate inscribed with the donor's name will be added to the appropriate donor category. A portrait of the donor may be included with cumulative gifts of $25,000 or greater.

Giving Categories as accumulated over time include:

• Member: $50 - 99
• Participating Member: $100 - 499
• Supporting Member: $500 - 1499
• Sustaining Member: $1500 - 4999
• Life Member: $5000 - $24,999
• Distinguished Patron: $25,000 - 49,999
• Distinguished Benefactor: $50,000 - 149,999
• Distinguished Donor: $150,000 - 249,999
• Distinguished Founder: $250,000 and over
